Cheney, a small farming community and university town with a population of just over 10,000, is a friendly, welcoming place. Founded in 1882, EWU’s main campus is located in Cheney, Washington, USA, and covers 329.5 acres in a park-like setting, with rolling wheat fields just steps from campus.

EWU has seven safe, secure on-campus dormitories featuring high-speed Internet, community lounges, cable television, laundry facilities, and dedicated staff. International students have an opportunity to live in EWU’s Global Connections Living Learning Community (LLC). Global Connections is an ideal community to explore global issues including culture, business, languages and current events. Participants are encouraged to share their customs, food and language in this safe, welcoming environment. This Streeter Hall housing option applies to all international students, students studying at the English Language Institute (ELI), study abroad students and other students who want to live in a truly global community.
