World Affairs Council of Spokane OGI Fund

Application deadline for Fall award : October 16, 2016

Application deadline for Spring award: May 30, 2016

Five $500 OGI Fund scholarships are available for EWU students to study abroad. The World Affairs Council of Spokane (WAC) seeks to cultivate an informed international worldview in the Inland Northwest. Aware that cost is one of the major factors for Eastern students in deciding whether to participate in a Study Abroad program, the WAC Study Abroad Scholarships aim to assist students with financial need to participate in a Study Abroad opportunity. One scholarship will be awarded in Spring term and one in Fall term each year until all five have been awarded.

Students applying for this scholarship must meet the following criteria:

  1. Full-time, degree-seeking student at Eastern Washington University
  2. Have an EWU approved application to Study Abroad
  3. Timely submission of scholarship application and short essay
  4. The students’ approved study abroad program must be directly related to their academic and/or career goals

Please contact Megan Abbey (mabbey@ewu.edu) with any questions you may have related to scholarship criteria or the application process.

In order to apply for the Spring 2016 scholarship award, the following materials must be submitted in one packet to the Office of Global Initiatives on or before May 30, 2016.
